Small But Mighty: Volunteers Rally at Florence B. Mathis Park for Eco Clean Marine Cleanup

Foley, AL, August 2, 2025 — Eco Clean Marine, in partnership with Tim Lower for City Council, hosted a spirited Saturday morning trash pickup at Florence B. Mathis Park and made a big splash with a small but mighty crew.

Thirteen enthusiastic volunteers showed up ready to roll, bringing buckets, good vibes, and a whole lot of heart. In just one hour, the team collected 16 five-gallon buckets of trash, proving that even a short burst of effort can make a serious impact.

"This trash isn’t always obvious—it hides in plain sight," said Courtney Dombroski, Founder and CEO of Eco Clean Marine. "But once you start looking, you realize how much our environment depends on people being aware and willing to act."

The event wasn’t just about cleaning up; it was about bringing the community together, raising awareness, and encouraging people to take ownership of their local environment. With support from generous donors and the passion of everyday citizens, Foley got a little cleaner and a lot more inspired.

Whether it’s your first cleanup or your fiftieth, Eco Clean Marine welcomes everyone to join the movement. Because when it comes to protecting our waterways, every bucket and every person counts.
